We want to hear from Fairpark neighborhood residents about your experiences, ideas, and hopes for a public art project on 500 North!
In response to concerns from area residents, Salt Lake City installed a series of traffic calming measures on 500 North between Redwood Road and 1200 West. A traffic circle at 1300 West & 500 North was created from that project and it will now be the site for a new piece of public art, thanks to funding provided by the Salt Lake City Arts Council’s Public Art Program. Additionally, the three splitter islands on 1200 West & 500 North have been identified as a potential site for public art.
Public art has the power to bring people together and foster a sense of community pride. By participating in this survey, you’ll be a part of this exciting initiative and help us create an artwork that reflects the unique character of the Fairpark neighborhood.
The survey is open through June 30, 2023, and should take around 5 minutes to complete. Your responses will remain completely anonymous and will be used to determine the artwork’s goals, content, and the type of artist who should be involved.
