Three Creeks Confluence Park – Request for Proposals
The Salt Lake City Arts Council is pleased to announce an opportunity for Utah artists or artist-led teams to submit up to three designs for the Three Creeks Confluence public art opportunity. Red Butte Creek, Emigration Creek, and Parleys Creek merge with the Jordan River at a unique geographic site known at the Three Creeks Confluence. The Department of Parks and Public Lands has worked with partners daylight the confluence and remediate the surrounding land into Three Creeks Confluence Park, which will open in the fall of 2020. Similar to the 337 Pocket Park public art project, Three Creeks Confluence Park will feature fencing that has been designed to contain .25” thick Corten steel panels that will be laser cut with artists’ designs. Sixteen panels will be 25″ by 45″, and four panels will be 14″ by 45″. Salt Lake City will manage fabrication and installation.
