McCLELLAND TRAIL – REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS – closed 11/29/15

The Salt Lake Art Design Board seeks aesthetically imaginative, site-specific, appropriately scaled artwork that will have a positive impact on and relationship to the McClelland Trail. This could include way-finding elements, seating, embedded or integrated work in the hardscape/landscape or singular sculptural works. Artists/teams are encouraged to be creative in design, color and material usage. Artists/teams are also encouraged to consider community involvement to inform their final artwork.

ELIGIBILITY – Open to professional artists or artist-led teams residing in Utah

PROJECT BUDGET – The total budget is $60,000 and is inclusive of all artist’s fees and related expenses for design, supplies, fabrication, insurance, transportation, permits, and installation.

DEADLINE – The application, images and other required materials must be submitted electronically by midnight, Sunday, November 29, 2015.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION – The Salt Lake City public art program is using the Call for Entry (CaFÉ ) online digital application and selection process for the McClelland Trail RFQ. Full application information can be found at www.callforentry.org. Applications for this project will only be accepted through CaFÉ.
